E-1 Merci beaucoup et bonsoir, mes amis. C’est certainement un privilège d’être ici cet après-midi dans cette belle salle bondée de monde, des adorateurs du Seigneur Jésus-Christ.
Il fait un peu chaud, mais nous pouvons supporter cela, je crois, pendant quelques instants, alors que nous communions autour de Sa Parole, et que nous avons part aux souffrances de la croix, à la gloire de Dieu, et à la résurrection qui suit la croix.
Et maintenant, nous sommes très reconnaissants pour l’assistance que nous avions eue au–à l’au-...–au stade. Cela a été certainement un privilège de servir là au cours de ces deux dernières soirées, étant donné le respect des gens et l’attention des gens, l’attention soutenue que les gens nous ont accordée. Nous en sommes très reconnaissants. Et tout marche bien.
| E-1 Thank you very much and good evening friends. Certainly a privilege to be here this afternoon in this lovely auditorium packed out with people, worshipers of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Kinda a little warm, but we can put up with that, I believe, for a few moments, as we fellowship around His Word, and be a partaker of the sufferings of the cross, the glory of God, and the resurrection that follows the cross.
And now, we are very thankful for the attendance that we've had out at the--the aud--the stadium. It's been certainly a privilege to serve out there these last two nights, the reverence of the people and the attention, undivided attention that the people give. We're so grateful for that. And everything's just going fine.

E-2 Et maintenant, la semaine prochaine, nous espérons, le Seigneur voulant, tenir quelques grands services là-bas où les bénédictions du Seigneur seront sur nous, comme vous priez pour nous. En effet, c’est le seul moyen pour que nous puissions avoir cela, par la prière. Quand un seul d’entre nous prie, cela aide. Mais lorsque nous prions tous ensemble, c’est alors que Dieu va agir, lorsque nous entrons tous dans la prière. C’est ce qu’Il a promis. Et nous savons que Ses promesses sont vraies.
Et nous nous attendons à ce que Dieu accomplisse aussi de glorieuses guérisons là cette semaine, qu’Il guérisse les gens de leurs maladies.
| E-2 And now, we're hoping this next week, the Lord willing, to have some great services out there with the Lord's blessings on us, as you pray for us. For that's the only way that we can have it, is when you pray. Just one of us praying will help. But when we all pray together, that's when God will go to moving, when we all go to praying. That's His promise. And we know His promises are true.
And we're expecting God to do some great healings out there this week also, healing the people from their sicknesses.

E-3 Eh bien, mon ministère consiste à prier pour les malades. Et d’habitude, c’est le manager de la réunion qui prêche; et moi, je limite mon ministère uniquement à la prière pour les malades. Et comme ça c’est mieux. Bien sûr que cela–cela... Je peux consacrer plus de temps à cela et à étudier. Lorsque je monte sur l’estrade et que je commence à prier pour les malades, c’est bien plus différent que lorsque vous allez là et que vous essayez de prêcher pendant un moment, et que vous faites peut-être un appel à l’autel, et ensuite vous priez pour les malades et mettez les gens en ligne, et bien d’autres choses qui vont avec cela.
D’habitude, le dimanche après-midi, on m’accorde un petit moment de communion avec les gens pour que je me détende un peu et me réjouisse avec eux. Et souvent les gens pensaient que j’étais un parfait isolationniste, parce que je ne me mets pas en compagnie des gens. Mais ce–c’est faux, mon cher ami. J’aime les gens et j’aime communier, je pense, comme n’importe qui pourrait le faire.
Mais j’ai découvert ceci: lorsque je reste parmi les gens, je m’éloigne de Dieu. Je dois être soit un serviteur de Dieu, soit un serviteur des gens. Et puis, je–je sais que tous ceux qui croient en Lui et qui L’acceptent, j’aurai toute l’éternité pour communier avec chacun d’eux.
| E-3 Now, that is my ministry is to pray for the sick. And usually the manager of the meeting does the speaking, and I just confine my ministry altogether to praying for the sick. And it makes it better. Of course it--it... I can put more time to it and studying. Walking to the platform and just start praying for the sick is quite a bit different than what it is, when you go there and try to preach a little while, and perhaps an altar call, and then pray for the sick, and line the people up, and other things goes with it.
Usually Sunday afternoons is give to me for a little time of fellowship with the people to kinda relax and rejoice with them. And many times people has thought that I was a complete isolationist, because that I didn't get out among the people. But that--that's wrong, my beloved friend. I love people and fellowship, I guess, as good any person could do it.
But I find this, that if I'm out among the people, I'm away from God. I either have to be a servant of God or a servant to the people. And then, I--I know that all who believe on Him and accept Him, I will have all eternity to fellowship with every one of them.

E-4 Mais maintenant, c’est le temps pour travailler. Mon père avait coutume de dire... Le dimanche, tous les garçons nous voulions aller nager. Pendant la semaine, c’était le temps de la moisson et ainsi de suite. Après que nous avions... tout le... charger le foin jusqu’à la tombée de la nuit, ensuite nous devions traire les vaches, les nourrir, et ainsi de suite. Je disais à papa: «Nous n’aurons pas de temps pour aller nager.»
Il disait: «Tu pourras le faire lorsque la moisson sera finie.» Eh bien, c’est vrai.
Et je suis tellement heureux de savoir qu’un jour la moisson va prendre fin. Et à ce moment-là ce sera fini. Et j’aimerais prendre rendez-vous avec chacun de vous. Vous savez, j’aimerais bien venir chez vous, vous visiter et savourer la bonne cuisine du Sud à l’ancienne mode. Je–j’aime ça. J’aimerais bien le faire. Je ne peux pas le faire maintenant.
Mais j’aimerais prendre rendez-vous avec vous. Après que cette vie sera finie, j’aimerais tout simplement passer mille ans avec chacun de vous. Alors nous pourrons simplement nous asseoir. Le temps ne nous fera pas défaut lorsque viendra ce moment-là. Nous allons tout simplement nous asseoir là, nous allons, pour ainsi dire, nous asseoir à côté du puits de Jacob, et nous réjouir ensemble, passer un long moment de communion. Ne sera-ce pas merveilleux?
| E-4 But it's working time now. My father used to say... On Sunday we, all of us boys wanted to go swimming. Through the week, the harvest time was on and so forth. After we'd have all the... pitch hay till plumb dark, then we had to milk the cows, and feed, and so forth. I'd tell Dad, "We won't have any time to go swimming." He said, "You can do that when the harvest time is over." Well, that's right.
And I'm so glad that one day harvest is going to be ended. And then it'll be over. I want to make an appointment with every one of you. You know, I'd like to come out to your house, and visit with you, and enjoy some good old fashion southern cooking. I--I like that. I would like to do that. I can't do it now.
But I will make an appointment with you. After this life is ended, I just want a thousand years with each one of you. So we can just set around. Won't have any less time when that comes. Just set around over there, and set down on the Jacob's well as it was, and rejoice together, and have a lot of time of fellowship. Won't that be wonderful?

E-5 J’aimerais vraiment m’approcher de Daniel et dire: «Frère Daniel, comment te sentais-tu lorsque ces lions s’étaient mis à rugir?» Et j’aimerais m’adresser à Etienne au sujet du moment où il était lapidé: «Quelle impression avais-tu, Etienne, lorsque tu priais pour le pardon de tes persécuteurs, lorsque tu avais levé les yeux et que tu avais vu Jésus debout à la droite de Dieu? Comment te sentais-tu, Etienne?» Nous aimerions communier avec bon nombre de ceux-là, n’est-ce pas? Et nous le ferons. Aussi sûr qu’il existe un Dieu au Ciel, nous le ferons.
| E-5 Just want to walk up to Daniel and say, "Brother Daniel, how did you feel when those lions first started roaring?" And I'd like to say Stephen's when he was stoned, "Just what did it seem like Stephen when you prayed for the forgiveness of your persecutors, when you looked up and saw Jesus standing at the right-hand of God? How did you feel, Stephen?" Many of those we'd like to have fellowship with, wouldn't we? And we will. Just as sure as there is a God of heaven, we will.

E-6 Bon, cet après-midi, je vais tâcher de ne pas vous garder très longtemps, car il fait chaud, et je sais que vous avez service dans vos églises ce soir. Et il se fait tard dans l’après-midi.
Et maintenant, j’aimerais vous parler juste un peu; nous allons communier autour de la Parole, juste un peu autour de la Parole de Dieu, pour recevoir une bénédiction. Et ce faisant, j’aimerais lire une portion de l’Ecriture qui se trouve dans le Livre de 1 Jean, et à partir du verset 5 du premier chapitre.
La nouvelle que nous avons apprise de lui, et que nous vous annonçons, c’est que Dieu est lumière, et qu’il n’y a point en lui de ténèbres.
Si nous disons que nous sommes en communion avec lui, et que nous marchions dans les ténèbres, nous mentons, et nous ne pratiquons pas la vérité.
Mais si nous marchons dans la lumière, comme il est lui-même dans la lumière, nous sommes mutuellement en communion, et le sang de Jésus son Fils nous purifie de tout péché.
Comme c’est merveilleux! Inclinons maintenant la tête, pendant que nous nous adressons à l’Auteur de cette Parole.
| E-6 Now, this afternoon, I'm going to try not to keep very long, because it's hot, and I know you got church service tonight. It's getting late in the afternoon.
And now, I want to speak to you just a little er--we around the Word, fellowship just a little while around the Word of God, for a blessing. And while we do, I want to read a portion of Scripture found in the book of I John and beginning at the 1st chapter and the 5th verse.
This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth.
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin.
How marvelous. Let us bow our heads now, while we speak to the Author of this Word.

E-7 Notre Père céleste, nous Te sommes reconnaissants aujourd’hui, Toi l’Auteur et le Consommateur de notre foi, Toi qui es venu sur terre et qui t’es humilié en étant revêtu d’un corps fait à l’image de celui du pécheur. Là Tu t’es chargé de nos maladies, de nos affections, de nos péchés, dans Ta propre chair, et là Tu as payé tout le prix de la rédemption, afin que l’homme, en croyant en Ta glorieuse mort, le sacrifice suprême, soit réconcilié et ramené de nouveau à la communion avec Dieu.
Et un glorieux jour dans un futur proche, ces corps vils que nous avons seront changés et transformés à l’image de Son propre corps de gloire. Car nous Le verrons tel qu’Il est. Et ce que nous serons à la fin n’a pas encore été exactement manifesté, mais nous savons que nous aurons un corps semblable à Son corps. Car nous Le verrons tel qu’Il est.
Oh! combien nous soupirons aujourd’hui, voyant la maladie qui nous serre de toute part, le péché, les maladies du coeur, les affections... Ce vieux lazaret, de temps en temps nous avons de la nostalgie, désirant quitter tout cela. Mais pendant notre voyage, nos bien-aimés sont ici, beaucoup d’entre eux Te sont étrangers, étant sans espérance, sans Dieu, sans miséricorde. Et nous aimons leur parler de la bonté.
Ne veux-Tu pas venir aujourd’hui, ô Père, Te joindre à nous et circoncire les lèvres qui parlent et les oreilles qui entendent. Et puissions-nous communier autour de la Parole. Car nous le demandons en Son Nom. Amen.
| E-7 Our heavenly Father, we're grateful today unto Thee, the Author and Finisher of our faith, Who came to the earth and was clothed upon, humiliated in a body made like unto a sinful man's body. There You bore our sickness, our diseases, our sins, in Thy own flesh, and there paid the full price of redemption, that man through believing on Thy great death, the supreme Sacrifice, might be reconciled back into fellowship with God again.
And some glorious day in the near future, that these vile bodies of ours will be changed and made like unto His own glorious body. For we shall see Him as He is. And it has not yet appeared just what we shall be at the final end, but we know that we will have a body like His. For we shall see Him as He is.
Oh, how we long today, seeing sickness gripping on every hand, sin, heartache, trouble... This old pest house, we get homesick once in a while, to get out of it all. But while we're journeying, our loved ones are here, many of them alienated from Thee without hope, without God, without mercy. And we love to speak to them about a loving-kindness.
Won't You come today Father, and join in with us and circumcise the lips that speak and the ear to hear. And may we have fellowship around the Word. For we ask it in His Name. Amen.

E-8 Je vais prêcher juste quelques instants. Je crois que je me tiens un peu trop près de ceci. Cela produit une voix terrible.
Pour en revenir à la Parole... J’aime la Parole. Car après tout, c’est là, comme nous l’avons dit hier soir, que la foi trouve son fondement solennel, elle repose sur la Parole.
Eh bien, quelqu’un pourrait entrer et dire: «Eh bien, j’ai vu ceci se produire ou cela se produire.» Mais cependant, si cela n’a aucun fondement scripturaire, nous ne pouvons simplement pas croire que c’est vrai. Mais lorsque nous trouvons l’AINSI DIT LE SEIGNEUR, cela règle la question pour moi. Lorsque c’est Dieu qui l’a dit, c’est alors que la chose est éternellement vraie. Et nous aimons la Parole.
| E-8 Speaking just for a few moments. I believe I stand a little too close to this. It has a terrible voice.
Going back to the Word... I love the Word. For after all, that's where we said last night that faith takes its solemn basis, its stand is on the Word.
Now, someone might come in and say, "Well, I seen this happen or that happen." But yet, if it has no Scriptural background, we just can't hardly believe that it's true. But when we find THUS SAITH THE LORD, that settles it to me. When God said so, that is where it is eternally true. And we love the Word.

E-9 Maintenant, il y a... La chose la plus glorieuse que nous les mortels pouvons avoir, c’est la communion. Et j’aimerais prêcher cet après-midi sur La Communion par la réconciliation du sang, si Dieu le veut, juste pendant un petit moment.
Mon fils et certains de mes associés m’ont parlé de la réunion. Bien sûr, je me retrouve tout à fait dans un état subconscient quand l’onction descend sur moi. Je sais que peut-être pour certains parmi vous les frères méthodistes, les presbytériens et les autres, c’est comme si vous pourriez dire: «Oh! je crois, Frère Branham, que maintenant c’est un peu du fanatisme.» Eh bien, c’est ce que je dirais, si je ne savais rien d’autre. C’est... Mais lorsque cela devient une réalité, lorsque... Si seulement c’est vous qui passiez par cela, vous sauriez que c’est réel, que cela vient de Dieu.
| E-9 Now, there's... The greatest thing that we mortals can have is fellowship. And I want to speak on "Fellowship Through The Reconciliation of the Blood" this afternoon, if God's willing just for a little short time.
My boy and some of my associates has been telling me about the meeting. Of course it all becomes a subconscious condition to me after anointing comes on. I know maybe some of you Methodist brethren and Presbyterian and so forth, it may seem like, "Oh, I believe Brother Branham, now that's a little fanatically." Well, it would to me, if I didn't know any different. That's... But when it becomes a reality, when... If you only stood in the tracks, you'd know it was real, coming from God.

E-10 Les deux dernières semaines–ça fait maintenant trois semaines, là à Chicago, nous avons tenu une grande réunion dans une salle d’environ cette taille. Ou elle était un peu plus longue que celle-ci, c’était dans un... J’ignore à quelle date c’était. De toute façon, il y avait là le fils d’un prêtre catholique, pas un catholique romain, mais un prêtre catholique orthodoxe. Son fils fut converti dans ces réunions. Et il était...
Ce soir-là le manager avait clôturé le service, nous étions allés passer un petit moment de communion. Et ce garçon avait donné sa vie au Seigneur Jésus. Et il a dit: «Oh! si seulement je pouvais avoir un petit moment de communion.» Et il voulait me raconter une histoire. Et il venait de la Grèce. Son père étant un prêtre de l’Eglise catholique grecque... Il était accompagné d’un autre homme qu’il avait amené depuis Minneapolis, dans le Minnesota, où il gère une chaîne de restaurants. Et cet homme vivait dans l’Illinois. Et il m’a raconté l’histoire notamment comment il était parvenu à être sauvé. Cet homme est un architecte, il a construit de grands gratte-ciels à travers le pays.
| E-10 Last two weeks--three weeks ago it is now in Chicago, we had a great meeting in an auditorium about like this. Or it's been a little longer than that, it was on a... I don't know just the date it was. Anyhow, there was a Catholic priest's son, not a Roman, but an Orthodox Catholic priest. His son was converted in the meeting. And he was...
That night the manager closing of the service, we was out for a little time of fellowship. And he had just gave his life to the Lord Jesus. And he said, "Oh, if I could just have a few moments of fellowship." And he wanted to tell me a story. And he come from Greece. His father, being a priest, in the Grecian Catholic church...
He had another man with him that had brought him all the way from Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he runs a chain of restaurants. And this man lived down in Illinois. And he told a story of how he come to get saved. This man was an architect, built great sky scrapers across the nation.

E-11 Et il a dit que son ami lui a téléphoné de quelque part, près de Moline, dans l’Illinois, et a dit: «John, j’aimerais que tu me rejoignes à la station. J’arrive. Les médecins l’ont abandonnée.» Eh bien, il a dit...
Il m’a parlé, il a dit: «J’ai vu l’article dans le journal, et je me disais que c’était juste une bande de fanatiques. Je me suis dit, je me suis dit: ‘ Eh bien, je me demande ce qu’il va faire dans une telle réunion.’»
Alors il a dit qu’il l’a rejoint, et il a dit, eh bien, qu’il ne nous avait jamais vu, mais il avait lu le livre. Et il avait des voisins là, dont l’un était un sourd-muet de naissance. Et on l’avait amené à la réunion, et il parlait et entendait, il venait d’une école pour muets. Et il a dit: «Je me suis dit que peut-être si j’allais parler à cet homme, il pourrait prier pour ma fillette.»
| E-11 And he said that his friend from over somewhere around Moline, Illinois, called him and said, "John, I want you to meet me at the station. I'm coming in. I want to go down to where Brother Branham is having a campaign. I want to ask him if he will pray for my little girl whose dying with rheumatic fever of the heart. The doctors has give her up." Well, he said...
He told me, said, "I seen the piece in the paper, and I thought it was just a bunch of fanatics." Said, I said, "Well, wonder what he's doing going to a meeting like that."
So he said he met him, and he said, "Well, he'd never seen us, but he's read the book. And he had the neighbors over there, and one of them had been born deaf and dumb. They'd been brought to the meeting and was speaking and hearing, from a mute school." And said, "I thought, maybe, if I go to talk to the man he might pray for my little girl."

E-12 Alors il a pris... Après qu’il a rejoint son ami, eh bien, ces gens... cet homme, son ami était celui qui construit des gratte-ciels. Mais il a dit que lorsqu’il est arrivé sur les lieux, il n’a même pas pu entrer dans l’enceinte de l’école, sans parler de la salle. Il y avait des gens dehors dans les rues. Mais il a dit qu’ils ont pu se frayer un chemin, jusqu’à ce qu’ils sont arrivés à la porte. La personne qui s’occupe des livres se tenait là, et il a dit: «Nous voudrions parler à frère Branham.»
Il a dit: «Eh bien, c’est lui qui est sur l’estrade maintenant, en train de prier pour les malades.»
Il a dit: «Eh bien, j’aimerais lui parler de ma fille.»
Il a dit: «Vous ne pouvez pas le faire.» Il a dit: «Parce qu’il est déjà en train de prier.» Il a dit: «C’est impossible de le voir.» Il a dit: «Vous devriez passer par le manager et ainsi de suite. Et pendant la réunion, on ne permet pas aux gens de le faire.» Il a dit: «Ecrivez simplement votre requête, donnez-la à l’un des huissiers, il va probablement la faire parvenir au manager, et le manager la lui remettra.»
Il a dit: «Oh! la la! ainsi c’est comme ça, hein?» Ainsi il était très déçu. Alors il a dit à son ami, il a dit: «Eh bien, longeons tout simplement cette allée et allons aussi loin que nous pouvons.»
| E-12 So he got... After he met his friend, why, they, the man, his friend was the one who builds the sky scrapers. They come down into the city, and said, "Well, it's some school." Said, "We can just take our time." Said, "School auditorium." Said, "It's a big one, that seats several thousand people. So I guess we have plenty of room. So we will just take our time." Said, "Probably there'd be fifty to seventy-five people there, that'd be about all." Said, "Most of the people that hang around such as that, is Pentecostals and holy-rollers and so forth."
But he said when he got to the grounds, he couldn't even get on the school grounds let alone in the building. The people were out into the streets. But said they made their way through, up till they got in the door. The book-man standing there, he said, "We want to speak to Brother Branham."
He said, "Well, that's him on the platform praying for the sick now."
Said, "Well, I'd like to speak to him about my girl."
He said, "You can't do it." Said, "Because already a praying." He said, "There's no way at all to seeing him." Said, "You'd have to go through the manager and so forth. And during the time of the meeting, they don't permit people to do that." Said, "Just write your request out, and hand it to one of the ushers, and they'll probably get it back to the manager, and manager get it over to him."
Said, "My, so that's the way it is, huh?" So he was very much disappointed. So he said to his friend, said, "Well, let's just come down along the aisle as far as we can."

E-13 Le capitaine des pompiers ne permettait plus aux gens de se tenir dans les allées. Alors il a dit: «Avançons un petit peu par ici.» Ils se trouvaient à environ soixante-quinze yards [68,5 m] de l’endroit où je me tenais.
Alors il a remis la note à l’un des huissiers, il a dit: «Remettez ceci là où ça pourra lui parvenir.»
Il a dit: «Eh bien, je ne serai pas en mesure de le voir d’ici avant la fin de la réunion. Voyez le manager.» Il a donc pris la petite note. Et l’huissier a dit: «Pourquoi ne priez-vous pas?» Il a dit: «Tenez-vous là et priez.»
Il a dit: «Eh bien, j’ai prié pendant près de deux semaines, et mon bébé se meurt.»
Il a dit: «Eh bien, continuez de prier.»
| E-13 The fire marshal wouldn't let no more stand in the aisles. So he said, "Let's move along here a little bit." About a seventy-five yards from where I was.
So one of the ushers, he gave him the slip, said, "Give this to where he can get to it."
He said, "Well, I won't be able to see him now till after the meeting, see the manager." So he took the little slip. And the usher said, "Why don't you pray?" Said, "Stand there and pray."
Said, "Well, I've prayed for about two weeks, and my baby is dying."
Said, "Well, just keep on praying."

E-14 Alors cet homme s’est tenu là, et a commencé à remarquer que le Saint-Esprit venait dans l’assistance et révélait certaines choses à certaines personnes. Quand il m’a entendu faire quelques remarques, il a dit: «Seigneur Jésus, si cela vient de Toi, alors que cet homme me parle.» Il a dit qu’il avait à peine prononcé cela que je me suis retourné et j’ai dit: «Ces deux hommes qui se tiennent là dans les allées, l’un d’eux vient de Moline, dans l’Illinois. Il s’appelle untel.» J’ai dit: «Il est venu ici pour le cas de son enfant.» J’ai dit: «Il a une fillette qui se meurt d’un rhumatisme articulaire aigu qui a affecté le coeur. Elle est à l’hôpital. Mais AINSI DIT LE SEIGNEUR, retournez, Dieu a guéri votre enfant.» Il a dit qu’il s’est tourné vers son ami, et son ami l’a regardé. Il a dit qu’ils se sont tenus là pendant quelques minutes.
Il a dit que son ami lui a parlé, il a dit: «Qu’en penses-tu?»
Il a dit: «Je crois que je trouverai ma fille guérie.»
Eh bien, il a dit: «Eh bien, si c’est le cas, tiens-moi au courant, s’il te plaît.» Il a dit: «Cet homme est simplement en train de lire la pensée des gens. C’est tout ce qu’il en est.»

Il a dit: «Eh bien...» Il a dit qu’il a embarqué dans un train cette nuit-là, à vingt-deux heures, et il est arrivé le lendemain vers six heures. Et il ne pouvait pas aller à l’hôpital à cette heure-là du matin. Alors il est monté à l’étage pour se coucher, a-t-il dit. Il s’est levé vers neuf heures trente ou dix heures, et il s’est rendu à l’hôpital. Il a rencontré le docteur, le médecin qui se trouvait dans son cabinet. Il a dit: «Eh bien, Docteur, comment va l’enfant?»
Il a dit: «Vous feriez mieux d’aller la chercher. Je ne peux rien faire pour elle.» Il a dit qu’il est monté à l’étage, et elle se battait à l’oreiller avec les enfants là dans la salle. Il a dit: «Depuis lors elle se porte bien.»
Et il a dit: «Je viens pour donner mon coeur au Seigneur Jésus-Christ.» Il a dit: «J’ai critiqué cela.» Voilà! Le salut des âmes, c’est ça l’essentiel.
Cet homme désirait juste un petit moment de communion afin de dire merci pour la prière. J’ai dit: «Je n’ai même pas prié, frère. C’était votre foi qui a fait cela.»
| E-14 So the man stood there, and he begin to notice the Holy Spirit coming out into the audience and telling certain peoples certain things. While he heard me make a few remarks, he said, "Lord Jesus, if that be of You, then let the man speak to me." Said he no more as got it out of his mouth till I turned around and said, "The two gentlemen standing there in the aisles, one of them's from Moline, Illinois. His name is so-and-so. Said, "He come here about his child." Said, "He's got a little girl whose dying with rheumatic fever in the heart. She's in the hospital. But 'THUS SAITH THE LORD,' return, God's healed your child." Said he looked around to his buddy, and his buddy looked at him. Said they stood there a few minutes.
Said his buddy said to him, said, "What do you think of it?"
Said, "I believe I will find my girl well."
Well, he said, "Well, if it does, you let me know about it, will you?" He said, "The man's just reading minds. That's all there is to it."
He said, "I--I don't believe that." Said, "How'd he read my mind back there, and I wasn't even thinking about those things. Hear him call people's sins and things, when they don't... They're not thinking of those things that they done thirty years ago and things."
He said,"Well..." Said he put him on the train that night at ten o'clock, and he got in the next morning about six. And couldn't go the hospital that time of the morning. So, he went upstairs and went to bed, he said. Got up at about 9:30 or ten o'clock and went out to the hospital. He met the doctor, the physician standing in the office. Said, "Well, Doc, how's the child?"
Said, "You better go get her. I can't do nothing with her." Said he went upstairs, and she was pillow fighting with the kids around over the place.
Said, "She's been well ever since."
And he said, "I come to give my heart to the Lord Jesus Christ." Said, "I criticized it." There you are. Saving souls, that's the main thing.
The man wanted just a little time of fellowship to say thanks for the prayer. I said, "I didn't even pray, brother. It was your faith that did it."

E-15 Maintenant, la communion. L’homme désire... La plus grande communion que l’homme pourrait avoir, c’est la communion avec Christ. J’aime rencontrer les hommes. Nous les hommes, nous aimons tous communier les uns avec les autres, parfois nous sortons et nous mangeons quelque chose. Les voisines se parlent à travers la clôture, elles se rendent à certains endroits où elles ont de petites réceptions, où elles se réunissent et communient ensemble.
Mais la plus grande communion que n’importe quel mortel puisse connaître, c’est lorsqu’il est dans la Présence bénie du Dieu Tout-Puissant. Aucune communion ne peut remplacer celle-là.
Autrefois, l’homme avait une parfaite communion avec Dieu. C’était le dessein de Dieu. C’est pour cette raison qu’il y a une grande soif dans votre coeur, que vous soupirez après quelque chose, un contact.
| E-15 Now, fellowship. Man wants... The greatest fellowship that man could ever have is fellowship with Christ. I love to meet men. Men, we all love to fellowship with all one another, sometimes go out and have a bite to eat. The neighbor women talked across the fence, coming around having little parties where they meet together, fellowship.
But the greatest fellowship that any mortal can know is when he's in the blessed Presence of Almighty God. No fellowship could take its place.
At one time man had perfect fellowship with God. That was God's purpose. That's the reason it's a crave in your heart, is a longing for something, a contact.

E-16 J’ai servi dans beaucoup de nations païennes où les gens ne savent même pas distinguer leur main droite de leur main gauche. Mais jamais de ma vie je n’ai vu un homme, peu importe combien il est arriéré, combien il peut être primitif, qui n’adore pas quelque chose. Il adore le soleil. Il adore le vent. Il adore les étoiles. Il se fait une statue de quelque chose. Parce que c’est simplement en lui. C’est un instinct pour adorer, pour communier. Nous avons donc le devoir d’apporter même le message du Dieu vivant.
Au commencement lorsque Dieu créa l’homme à Son image, Il le plaça dans le jardin d’Eden. Ce dernier avait une communion parfaite. Tard dans l’après-midi, le soir, au crépuscule, je peux voir le Grand Jéhovah passer au-dessus des palmiers, et je peux entendre le tonnerre gronder, lorsqu’Adam et Ève se rassemblaient là dans cette grande cathédrale en plein air, et ils adoraient Dieu, ils communiaient, et ils s’entretenaient avec Lui.
Le lion, les tigres, tous s’avançaient là dans une harmonie parfaite. Ne serait-ce pas un merveilleux endroit où vivre, où rester, un endroit où il n’y a point de maladies, point de chagrin, où il est impossible de s’inquiéter? Tout était dans une harmonie parfaite, Dieu était en harmonie avec Sa création, et la création en harmonie avec son Créateur. Quel moment parfait, une communion totale! C’est ce que Dieu avait prévu.
| E-16 I've ministered in many heathen nations where people didn't even know which is right and left hand. But I never seen a human being in my life, regardless of how far back, how primitive he may be but what he worshiped something. He will worship the sun. He will worship the wind. He will worship the stars. He will make an image of something. Because it's just in him. It's an instinct to worship, have fellowship. Then it's our duties to take even the message of the living God.
In the beginning when God made man in His own image, put him in the garden of Eden. He had a perfect fellowship. In the late of the afternoon, the evening time when the twilights was falling, I can see the great Jehovah come across the top of the palm trees and the roaring of the thunder, when Adam and Eve gathered out there in the great open air cathedral and worshipped God, had fellowship, talked with Him.
The lion, the tigers all coming up around in perfect harmony. Wouldn't that be a wonderful place to live, abiding place where there's no sickness, no sorrow, no way of ever being upset? Everything's in perfect harmony, God in harmony with His creature and the creature in harmony with his Maker. What a perfect time, a complete fellowship. That's the way God intended it.

E-17 Mais alors, lorsque l’homme s’est mis à pécher, il s’est séparé de la communion avec son Créateur. C’est le péché qui l’a séparé. Tout comme–c’est ce que nous croyons être la vérité. La Bible ne dit que la vérité. Et si c’est la vérité, alors s’il y a des dispositions qui ont été prises contre le péché, alors par ces dispositions, l’homme peut retourner à une communion et une harmonie parfaites avec son Créateur. Le croyez-vous? C’est juste. Nous pouvons seulement chercher le chemin, c’est... Il nous faut trouver le remède.
| E-17 But then when man begin to sin he separated himself from his fellowship with his Maker. Sin is what separates him. As that--that's the truth which we believe it is. The Bible only speaks the truth. And if that's the truth, then if there is some preparation made for sin, then man through that preparation can come back in perfect fellowship and harmony with his Maker again. You believe it? That's right.
We can only find the way. That's... We want to find the remedy.

E-18 Récemment j’étais en Grèce, à Athènes, en Grèce. Je regardais dans un–dans une salle qui avait pratiquement la dimension de celle-ci. Un artiste grec était censé avoir peint le tableau de la création. Comme c’était horrible, la manière dont le coeur méchant d’un pécheur peut défigurer notre... le tableau que cet homme avait peint de notre père et de notre mère, Adam et Ève! Ève se tenait là, ayant l’aspect d’une brute. Oh! la la! elle était une créature horrible à voir. Là se tenait Adam qui ressemblait à un certain animal préhistorique, avec des poils qui lui sortaient du nez comme cela, et sa mâchoire était de travers, et avec de grands favoris qui pendaient comme un animal.
C’est le genre de conception qu’un homme sans Christ peut se faire de la création de Dieu. Mais un homme qui est né de nouveau sait que Dieu ne fait rien d’imparfait. Il fait bien toute chose.
| E-18 Not long ago I was in Greece, Athens, Greece. I was looking at a--in a room practically the size of this one. The Grecian artist was supposed to paint the picture of the creation. Such a horrible thing, how wicked hearts of sinful man can disguise our--the picture that that man painted of our father and mother, Adam and Eve. Eve standing there a brute looking. My, she was a horrible looking thing. There stood Adam looked like some prehistoric animal, hairs was out of his nose way out like that, and his jaw setting sideways, and big tusks hanging down like an animal.
That's the kind of a thought that a man without Christ can think of God's creation. But a man that's ever borned again knows that God does nothing imperfect. He does all things well.

E-19 Je pense qu’Adam et Ève étaient le couple le plus parfait qui ait jamais marché sur terre. Je peux voir Adam avec ses... il n’avait pas de grandes épaules comme les portes d’une grange, mais c’était un homme parfaitement bâti; Ève était belle. Je peux donc la voir, alors que... Elle s’est levée, après que l’opération fut faite sur Adam, et ce dernier l’a regardée. Sa belle chevelure lui tombait dans le dos, ses yeux brillaient comme les étoiles du ciel. Adam a touché sa chair, et il a dit: «Elle est chair de ma chair et os de mon os.» Une beauté qui ne pouvait jamais flétrir. Ces lèvres, elle n’avait pas besoin de cette manucure qu’on a ici, ou de cette histoire que vous appliquez maintenant sur votre visage pour paraître jolie. C’est le péché qui vous a amenée à faire cela. Dieu avait créé cela parfait.
Je peux la voir s’accrocher à son bras, et ils se promenaient dans ce grand jardin de Dieu: c’était parfait, parfait dans l’amour. Aucun mal, aucun danger ne pouvait approcher d’eux. Ensuite de voir l’ennemi pervertir cette chose en un véritable gâchis comme celui dans lequel nous nous trouvons aujourd’hui. Quelques années suffisent pour amener des cheveux gris, pour couvrir le visage de rides, pour qu’il y ait des cortèges funèbres, des pleurs dans les hôpitaux. C’est le diable qui a fait cela.
| E-19 I think that Adam and Eve was the most perfect couple that ever walked on earth. I can see Adam in his, not a great shoulders like some barn doors, but a perfect built man, Eve, beautiful. I can see her now, as when... She woke up after the operation from Adam, and he looked at her. Her beautiful hair hanging down her back, her eyes sparkle like the stars above. Adam touching her by the flesh, and said, "She's flesh of my flesh and bone of my bone." Beautiful, never to fade out. Those lips, they wouldn't have to use this here manicure or what the stuff you put on your face now to make themself look pretty. Sin caused you to do that. God made it perfect.
I can see that she hung onto his arm, and they walked through the great gardens of God: perfect, perfect in love. No harm or danger could ever come near them. Then to see the enemy pervert that thing into a regular mess like we're in today. Just a few years bringing gray hairs, wrinkled face, funeral processions, hospitals screams. That's the devil that did that.

E-20 Or, lorsque Dieu les avait sous Son contrôle total, ils marchaient avec Lui et s’entretenaient avec Lui dans le jardin. Mais dès que l’homme a perdu sa communion avec Dieu, il est devenu un vagabond, errant çà et là, n’ayant aucun endroit où aller, il était ballotté. C’est ce que l’homme devient aujourd’hui.
Tenez, maintenant écoutez. Lorsqu’un homme sort de la communion d’avec Dieu, il devient un vagabond, il va çà et là adhérer à une église, et il quitte celle-là pour aller adhérer à une autre. Il ne trouve pas satisfaction ici; il va chez les méthodistes; de chez les méthodistes il va chez les baptistes, et ensuite chez les pentecôtistes, chez les pèlerins de la sainteté, il va de lieu en lieu, il erre, parce qu’il a perdu la communion, la communion avec Dieu.
Si vous refusez une église ici et une église là, peut-être le problème c’est vous. Vous trouvez la communion partout où il fait bon vivre, du moment que vous avez la communion avec le Seigneur. Amen. C’est un peu dur, mais c’est bon. Cela–cela vous redresse un peu, vous...?... Cela contient plus de vitamines que tous les drugstores qui existent dans cette ville. Amen.
Cela vous donne la joie, la paix, l’intelligence la confiance lorsque vous avez communion avec le Seigneur.
| E-20 Now, when God had them in His perfect control, they walked with Him and talked with Him in the garden. But as soon as he lost his fellowship with God, he become a wanderer, wondering around, no place to go, tossed about. That's the way a man becomes today.
Here it is, now listen. When a man comes out of fellowship with God, he becomes a wanderer, going about joining one church and leaving that one and joining another. They don't satisfy him here; he goes over to the Methodist; from Methodist he goes to Baptist, and to the Pentecostal, to the Pilgrim Holiness, from place to place, wondering about, because he's lost fellowship, fellowship with God.
You refuse a church of this and a church of that, maybe it's you. Just find fellowship and anywhere is home sweet home, as long as you have fellowship with the Lord. Amen. That's kinda hard, but that's good. That--that kinda straighten you up, get...?... There's more vitamins in that, than all the drugs stores there is in the city's got. Amen.
Give you joy, peace, understanding, confidence when you have fellowship with the Lord.

E-21 Je peux les voir après qu’ils ont péché. L’homme dans son état primitif, là après la chute. Il essaie de se trouver une échappatoire. Il veut le faire lui-même. C’est exactement ce que les gens font encore aujourd’hui. La tendance même de faire cette chose-là montre que c’est toujours le propre de l’homme. Il s’est cousu un tablier en feuilles de figuier. Il en a revêtu Ève et il se disait que, lorsque Dieu descendrait et l’appellerait, il serait en mesure de se tenir dans la Présence de Dieu avec un tablier qu’il s’était fabriqué. Mais cela n’a pas marché. Lorsqu’il a compris qu’il devait se tenir devant Dieu, il s’est rendu compte que ce tablier ne marcherait pas. Parce qu’il l’avait confectionné lui-même, et tout credo fait par l’homme ne tiendra jamais dans la Présence de Dieu.
Nous avons essayé de substituer l’instruction à la communion. Nous rassemblons un groupe de gens instruits, nous pensons que l’instruction amènera la communion. L’instruction, je dirais ceci, l’instruction est le plus grand obstacle que l’Evangile de Jésus ait jamais eu. Cela semble étrange, mais c’est la vérité.
| E-21 I can see them after they had sinned. Man in his primitive condition there after fall. He wants to find himself a way of escape. He wants to make it himself.
Just like they do yet today. The very strain of it there shows that it's still on man. He sewed himself a fig leaf apron. Put one on Eve and thought that when God came down and called him, that he would be able to stand in the Presence of God with a homemade apron. But it didn't work. When he found out that he had to stand before God, he found out that the apron would not work. Because he made it himself, and any handmade creed will never stand in the Presence of God.
We've tried to substitute education for fellowship. Get a bunch of people that's educated together, think that education will bring fellowship. Education, I say this: Education has been the greatest hindrance that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has ever had. That sounds strange, but it's the truth.

E-22 Il n’y a pas longtemps, lorsque le capitaine Al Farrar, l’un des chefs du FBI, fut converti dans une de mes réunions après m’avoir filé pendant deux ans, il m’a amené dans la grande prison et tout, il m’a montré ces jeunes dames et tout qui sont régulièrement emprisonnées.
Il a dit: «Révérend Branham, récemment vous avez fait une remarque sur l’instruction.» Il a dit: «C’est la vérité, quatre-vingt-dix pour cent de ceux qui sont là sont des gens bien instruits.» Ils sont tellement instruits qu’ils s’imaginent qu’ils peuvent l’emporter sur la loi. Mais un gars ordinaire a peur de la loi, et cela l’amène à être discipliné.
Quand les gens en arrivent à un point où ils peuvent tout comprendre, Dieu n’a rien à voir avec cela. Ils s’imaginent qu’ils peuvent s’en tirer dans toutes les circonstances. Mais celui qui craint l’Eternel apprend la justice.
Ainsi, autrefois les hommes ont essayé de substituer l’instruction à la communion. Ils ont essayé de prendre comme substitut des dénominations, aussi bonnes qu’elles puissent être. L’instruction est une bonne chose si elle est à sa place. Les dénominations sont une bonne chose si elles sont à leur place.
Le fait d’être membre, les gens ont essayé d’y substituer le fait d’être membre. Le fait d’être membre, c’est une bonne chose si cela est à sa place, mais cela ne prendra jamais la place de la communion du Fils de Dieu.
| E-22 Not long ago when Captain Al Farrar, one of the head of the FBI's was converted in my meeting after following for two years, taken it down in the great dungeon and so forth and showed me those young ladies and so forth in a revolving pens in around.
He said, "Reverend Branham, made a remark not long ago about education." Said, "It's the truth ninety percent of them in there is out a fine educated people." They get so smart they think they can outdo the law. But just a common old boy, he's afraid of the law and he brings him to discipline.
People get to a place that they can figure all about it, and God ain't got nothing do with it. They think they can get by with anything. But he that feareth the Lord shall learn righteousness.
So back they've tried to substitute education for fellowship. They've tried to substitute denominations, as good as it may be. Education's all right in its place. Denominations is all right in its place.
Membership, they've tried to substitute membership. Membership is all right in its place, but it'll never take the place of fellowship of the Son of God.

E-23 Remarquez cela maintenant. Ensuite lorsqu’ils se sont rendu compte qu’ils avaient péché et qu’ils s’étaient éloignés de Dieu, Dieu a dû tuer des animaux, peut-être une brebis. En effet, Christ était l’Agneau qui a été immolé avant la fondation du monde. Et lorsqu’Il a tué les agneaux, ou plutôt une brebis, Il a jeté la peau à Adam et à Ève, ils se sont couverts de peaux et se sont tenus dans la Présence de Dieu pour recevoir leur jugement et leur destinée éternelle.
Ils ne pouvaient pas se tenir là d’une autre manière; Dieu ne pouvait pas les regarder sans qu’ils aient une couverture. Et Dieu ne peut pas vous regarder sans que vous ayez une couverture. Et en ce jour-là la couverture, c’était le sang. Et c’est la même couverture aujourd’hui.
Et je crains que, nous les gens du plein Evangile, nous nous soyons un peu trop éloignés de notre sentier maintenant, lorsque nous abandonnons cela. Revenons.
| E-23 Notice it now. Then when they realized that they had sinned and gone away from God. God had had to kill some animals, perhaps a sheep. Because Christ was the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world. And when he killed the lambs, and or sheep, and throwed back the skin to Adam and Eve, they covered themselves in the skins and stood in the Presence of God to receive their judgment and their eternal destination.
Couldn't stand no other way; God couldn't look upon them without a covering. And God can't look upon you without a covering. And a covering in that day was blood. And that's the same covering today.
And I'm afraid that we Full Gospel people are getting a little too far off our track now, when we leave that out. Come back.

E-24 Il y a quelques années j’avais coutume de venir assister aux réunions du plein Evangile et de voir comment les gens se comportaient; et à ce moment-là, c’était très différent. Maintenant, je ne suis pas ici... Vous avez des prédicateurs qui vous prêchent. Je suis venu pour le service de guérison. Mais je remarquais lorsque j’allais à... ça fait à peine quelques années. Je voyais les dames venir aux réunions du plein Evangile portant de longs cheveux, habillées modestement. Mais aujourd’hui elles ont des cheveux coupés. C’était un péché à l’époque; elles ont toutes sortes de pâtes et de maquillage, et toutes sortes d’affaires. Quel est le problème? Christ n’a point changé. Il y a quelque chose qui cloche; quelque chose est arrivé. Si c’était mal à l’époque, c’est mal aujourd’hui.
Ce qu’il nous faut aujourd’hui, c’est un vieux réveil à la saint Paul à l’ancienne mode, et que le Saint-Esprit de la Bible soit prêché de nouveau dans l’Eglise avec une conviction à l’ancienne mode, que des hommes et des femmes viennent au Seigneur au travers du Sang versé, pour une réconciliation, et qu’ils se reconnaissent comme morts. Il n’y aura pas tant d’exhibitions de la mode.
| E-24 Years ago I used to come to the Full Gospel meetings and how the people acted, and then it was so much different. Now, I'm not here... You got preachers that preach to you. I come for the healing service. But I used to notice when I went to--no more than a few years ago. I used to see the ladies coming to the Full Gospel meetings with long hair, dressed modestly. And today they got bobbed hair. It was a sin then; they got all kind of paste and make-up and all kinds of stuff. What's the matter? Christ hasn't changed. Something's wrong; something happened. If it was wrong then, it's wrong now.
What we need today is an old fashion Saint Paul's revival and the Bible, Holy Ghost preached back in the church with old time conviction, men and women coming to the Lord through the shed Blood, a reconciliation, reckon themselves dead. Won't be so much fashion put on.

E-25 J’avais coutume d’aller à une église où il y avait un vieux prédicateur méthodiste; il chantait souvent un petit cantique, le vieux frère Kelly, il est déjà rentré à la Maison, il disait: «Nous avons laissé tomber les barrières. Nous avons laissé tomber les barrières. Nous avons fait des compromis avec le péché. Nous avons laissé tomber les barrières. Les brebis sont sorties. Mais comment les boucs sont-ils entrés?» Vous avez laissé tomber les barrières. C’est évident.
Oui! ce qu’il nous faut aujourd’hui, c’est une bonne prédication, un bon enseignement strictement basé sur la Bible, pour retourner au vieil étalon: le Sang versé. Dieu a dressé devant le monde le plan pour que la race humaine rentre à la Maison, et c’était par la réconciliation du Sang. Il n’a jamais changé depuis jusqu’à ce jour.
Certains disent: «Je suis membre de l’Eglise méthodiste. Je suis membre de l’Eglise pentecôtiste. Je suis membre de ceci.» Cela ne signifie pas autant que ça pour Dieu. Vous devez naître de nouveau. Vous devez venir et reconnaître le Sang de Jésus-Christ qui a été versé pour vous, et mourir à vous-même et aux choses du monde, et naître de nouveau en Jésus-Christ, par le lavage et le renouvellement du–par le Sang.
Amen. C’est vraiment direct, mais frère, c’est la vérité. Ce n’est pas pour l’église...?... à l’ancienne mode...?... Nous avons trop d’évangélisation à la Hollywood. Vous savez que c’est la vérité.
| E-25 Used to go to a place the old Methodist preacher; he used to sing a little song. Old Brother Kelly, back home he said, "We let down the bars. We let down the bars. We compromised with sin. We let down the bars. The sheep got out. But how did the goats get in?" You let down the bars. That's plain.
Yes! What we need today is some good strict Bible preaching, teaching, back to the old hewing lines the shed blood. God laid out the world the map for the human family to come home, and it was through reconciliation of the Blood. He's never changed from that day to this.
Some say, "I belong to the Methodists. I belong to the Pentecostal. I belong to this." That doesn't mean a that much to God. You got to be born again. You got to come and recognize the Blood of Jesus Christ was shed for you, and you're dead to yourself and to the things of the world, and born anew in Christ Jesus, by the washing and renewing of the--by the blood.
Amen. Pretty straight, but brother, it's the truth. That's not for the church...?... to the old fashion way...?... We got too much Hollywood evangelism. You know that's the truth.

E-26 A travers le pays aujourd’hui, lorsque vous allez à un endroit où il y aura des gens du plein Evangile... J’étais ici il n’y a pas longtemps à une réunion, cet homme a congédié...?... trois fois...?... Les dames qui étaient sur l’estrade, disaient-ils, étaient toutes des saintes. Cet homme m’a présenté sa femme, et, oh! je ne suis pas... Je ne suis pas ici pour critiquer; je suis ici pour dire la vérité. Et c’était cette femme qui jouait le piano, et elle avait l’air d’une vedette de Hollywood, avec toute la manucure, le maquillage et tout. Je lui ai dit: «Est-elle une sainte?»
Il a dit: «Oui.»
J’ai dit: «Pour moi elle a l’air d’un fantôme.» J’ai dit... «Ne regardez...»
| E-26 Out across the nation today you go to a place where there'll be Full Gospel peoples... I was here not too long ago to a meeting, the man dismissed...?... three times...?... Ladies on the platform were all saintly they said. Fellow introduced me to his wife, and oh, I ain't... I'm not here to criticize; I'm here to tell the truth. And the woman was the piano player and she looked like a Hollywood star with all the manicures, and make-ups, and things. I told him, "Is she a saint?"
Said, "Yes."
I said, "She looked to me like a hain't." I said... "Don't look..."

E-27 Ecoutez, frère, nous ne sommes que six pieds [1,80 m] de terre, et c’est bien dommage que nous ayons ramené ces choses dans l’Eglise. Ce qu’il nous faut, c’est un nettoyage, nous devons sortir. Amen. Nous devons passer par le lavage du Sang. On l’a fait entrer là-dedans. Passez par le Sang, et vous aurez la communion. Le Précieux Fils de Dieu, regardez ce que...?... réconciliant cela avec Dieu, et vous vous conduisez comme vous le devriez.
Eh bien, vous ne pouvez pas le faire sans être d’abord venu à Christ. Vous ne pouvez pas dire à un cochon qu’il a tort lorsqu’il mange de la pâtée avant que vous ayez changé sa nature. Peu importe à quel point vous le lavez. Voyez-vous? Vous devez faire qu’il ait une bonne nature. Et votre nature du péché doit être changée. Amen.
Voilà Adam et Ève qui plaidaient, se tenant dans la Présence de Dieu. Il a prononcé le jugement. Serpent, tu marcheras sur ton ventre, et la poussière sera ta nourriture, les épines et les ronces et ainsi de suite.»
| E-27 Listen brother, we're just six foot of dirt, and it's too bad that we got these things back into the church. What we need is a cleaning up, coming out. Amen. Come through the Blood wash. She was just taken in. Come through the Blood, and you'll have fellowship. God's dear Son, look what...?... reconciling it back to God and you're act like you should.
Now, you can't do it without coming to Christ first. You can't tell a pig he's wrong eating slop till you change his nature. No matter how much you wash him up. See? You've got to get his nature right. And your nature's got to be changed from sin. Amen.
There pleading Adam, Eve standing in the Presence of God. He pronounced the judgment. He said, "Because you listened to your wife in the stead of God. I taken you from the dust, and dust you shall return." Said to wife, "Because you listened to the serpent instead of your husband, you taken life out of the world and you'll have to bring it in, and multiply your sorrows, and so forth. Serpent, upon your belly you'll go, and dust shall be your meat, thorns and thistles and so forth."

E-28 Ensuite je peux voir une scène dramatique. Je peux le voir s’éloigner de la Présence de Dieu. Et pendant qu’il commence à s’en aller là, quelle condition! N’eût été le Sang versé, nous serions tous perdus. Mais Dieu a payé le prix du péché d’Adam par l’aspersion du sang d’un substitut innocent.
Vous méthodistes, essayez un peu cela dans votre église. Et vous baptistes, et vous pèlerins de la sainteté, et tous les autres. Christ, prenez Christ. Alors vous verrez que ces glorieuses choses mystérieuses qui commencent à apparaître ne seront pas tellement mystérieuses pour nous.
Comment pouvez-vous connaître Dieu, sans qu’il soit dans votre coeur? L’homme ne peut Le connaître que lorsqu’il appelle quelque chose. David a dit: «Lorsque la profondeur appelle la profondeur...» S’il y a une profondeur ici à l’intérieur qui appelle, il doit y avoir une profondeur pour y répondre. Avant qu’il y ait une nageoire sur le dos d’un poisson, il dut y avoir d’abord de l’eau pour qu’il puisse y nager afin d’utiliser cette nageoire, sinon il n’aurait pas eu de nageoire. Avant qu’il y ait un arbre qui puisse pousser sur la terre, il dut y avoir d’abord une terre.
| E-28 Then I can see a dramatic thing. I can see him departing out of the Presence of God. And as he started walking away there, what a condition. If it hadn't been through the shed blood, we'd all been gone. But God reckoned Adam's sin by the shedding of an innocent substitute.
You Methodists, try a little of that in your church. And you Baptists, and you Pilgrim Holiness, and all the other different ones. Christ, take Christ. Then you'll find out that these great mysterious things that's beginning to appear won't be so mysterious to you.
How can you know of God, unless God's in the heart. Man can only know Him when he calls for something. David said, "When the deep calleth to the deep..." If there's a deep in here calling there's got to be a deep to respond to it." Before there's a fin on a fish's back, there had to a water first for him to swim in to use that fin, or he wouldn't have had no fin. Before there was a tree to grow in the earth, there had to an earth first.

E-29 J’ai entendu dire, il y a quelque temps, j’ai lu un article qui parlait d’un petit garçon qui mangeait les gommes de crayons, il avait mangé le caoutchouc de la pédale d’une bicyclette. On l’a amené au laboratoire pour voir quel était son problème, ou plutôt à la clinique. On a découvert que son petit corps avait besoin de soufre. Et le caoutchouc contient du soufre.
Or, avant qu’il y ait un besoin de soufre, il devait y avoir du soufre là-bas pour répondre à ce besoin. Et avant qu’il puisse y avoir un dé-... s’il y a dans le coeur humain un désir d’avoir plus de Dieu, il doit se trouver plus de Dieu quelque part. Si un homme croit dans la guérison divine et reconnaît que Dieu guérit, il doit y avoir une fontaine ouverte quelque part. Car il doit y avoir une profondeur pour répondre à chaque désir. Amen.
Ce qu’il nous faut aujourd’hui, c’est une démolition à l’ancienne mode, c’est que le réfrigérateur soit débarrassé de la bière, que toutes les choses liées à la danse fandango soient ôtées, que les jeux de cartes soient ôtés de la table, que la vieille réunion de prière à l’ancienne mode soit ramenée et que...?... revenir dans les bras du Dieu vivant. C’est ce qu’il nous faut aujourd’hui.
C’est ce qu’il faut à l’Amérique, c’est le seul remède. Dieu n’a jamais donné un autre remède qui serait l’instruction. Toutes ces autres choses ne seront jamais, jamais reconnues jusqu’à ce que vous veniez par le Sang. Il faut le sang pour cela.
| E-29 Hearing sometime ago, I read where a little baby boy eat the erasers off of a pencil, eat the rubber off of a bicycle pedal. They took him to the laboratory to find out what was the matter with him, or at the clinic, rather. They found out his little body needed sulfur. And sulfur was in the rubber.
Now, before there could be a crave for sulfur, there had to be a sulfur out there to respond to that crave. And before there can be a de--if there's a desire in a human heart for more of God, there's got to be more of God somewhere to find. If a man believes in Divine healing and knows that God is a Healer, there's got to be a fountain open somewhere. For there's got to be a deep to respond to every desire. Amen.
What we need today is an old fashioned breaking up, Cleaning out the ice box and the beer and all the fandangoed things, and throw the cards off the table, and an old fashioned prayer meeting back and getting...?... back arms of the living God. That's what we need today.
America needs, it's the only remedy. God's never give another remedy in the education. All these other things will never never be recognized until you come through the blood. Takes the blood to do it.

E-30 Une communion parfaite, c’est ce que Job avait, il était un homme juste. Considérez quelle communion il avait. Lorsqu’il s’est présenté dans la Présence de Dieu, notre Dieu... Satan se présenta plutôt devant Dieu avec les fils de Dieu. Dieu a dit: «D’où viens-tu?»
Il a dit: «De me promener çà et là sur la terre.»
Il a dit: «As-tu vu Mon serviteur Job, un juste, un homme parfait? Il n’y a personne comme lui sur terre.» Qu’est-ce que Dieu disait? Que Son serviteur Job était parfait. Nous avons tous lu les épreuves de Job. Comment il est passé par des moments de détresse. Oh! j’aime vraiment lire son histoire.
Pendant une année, je suis resté... J’ai prêché sur le livre de Job. Cela m’a pris presque une année et demie pour terminer cela. Lorsque je l’ai mis sur le tas de cendres, je l’ai gardé là pendant environ six ou huit semaines. Une des membres de mon assemblée, ne voulant pas blesser mes sentiments, m’a cependant écrit une lettre.
Elle a dit: «Frère Branham, quand allez-vous relever Job du tas de cendres?»
| E-30 Perfect fellowship, Job had it, just man. Look what a fellowship he had. When he came in the Presence of God our God... Satan came up before God rather with the sons of God. Say, "Where you been?"
Said, "Walking to and fro and up an down on the earth."
Said, "Have you considered my servant Job, a just man, a perfect man? There's none like him in the earth. " What's God saying? Job, his servant, was perfect. We've all read of the trials of Job. How that he went through the distressed times. Oh I just love to read of him.
One year I was staying out... I preached the book of Job. Taking me about a year and a half to get through it. When I got him over him on the ash heap. I kept him there for about six or eight weeks. One of the members of my congregation, she didn't want to hurt my feelings but she wrote me a letter.
Said, "Brother Branham, when you ever going to get Job off the ash heap?"

E-31 Je l’avais gardé là. C’était le moment crucial de la vie de Job. Il a jeté un coup d’oeil, et il a vu les fleurs retourner à la poussière de la terre, Job 14. Et la fleur mourait. Ensuite on fait un cortège funèbre dans le ciel. Les nuages viennent en automne, et les gouttes de larmes de la pluie enterrent la petite semence. Elle reste sous terre. Le froid qui pénètre dans le sol le gèle jusqu’à plusieurs centimètres de profondeur. Pendant l’hiver, la petite semence gonfle, elle gèle, elle éclate; la pulpe s’échappe.
Lorsque vient le printemps, les pétales ont disparu; les feuilles ont disparu; la tige a disparu; la semence a disparu; la pulpe a disparu. Tout ce qui peut être vu de cette petite semence a disparu. C’en est fini de la fleur, à ce qu’il paraît à l’oeil humain. Mais que le petit soleil chaud se lève à l’horizon oriental, et commence à baigner la terre. Il y a un germe de vie qui est caché là dans cette terre. Cette petite fleur vivra de nouveau. Et si Dieu a préparé une voie pour qu’une fleur revive, qu’en est-il d’un homme qui a été créé à Son image?
| E-31 I had him out there. That was the crucial moment of Job's life. He looked over and he seen flowers go back to the dust of the earth, Job 14. And a flower died. They had a regular procession for it. Frost hits it and kills the little fellow, bows its little head, the petals drop off, seed drops out.
Then they have a funeral procession in the sky. The clouds come over in the fall of the year, and rain the teardrops that buries the little seed. It lays beneath the ground. The frost gets into the ground freezes several inches deep. Through the run of the winter, the little seed swells, freezes, bursts open; the pulp runs out.
When spring comes along, the petal's gone; the leaf's gone; the stalk's gone; the seed's gone; the pulp's gone. Everything that can be seen of the little seed is gone. The flower is finished, as far as man is concerned. But just let the warm sunshine rise over the little eastern horizon, begin to bathe the ground. Somewhere hid in that dust is a germ of life. That little flower will live again. And if God made a way for a flower to live again, what about a man that's made in his own image?

E-32 Il y a quelque temps un vieux prédicateur méthodiste et moi avions une petite communion autour de la crème glacée. L’Heure de l’agriculture passait à la radio à Louisville, dans une petite pâtisserie où nous nous trouvions. Et nous étions assis sur des tabourets et nous parlions du Seigneur, c’est un très bon vieux frère, réellement né de nouveau.
Et on disait que le petit club 4-H avait mis au point une–une machine qui fabriquait des graines de maïs aussi parfaits que ceux qui sont cultivés dans le champ. Et l’on disait que si vous prenez une poignée d’un sac de maïs fabriqués par cette machine, et que vous preniez une poignée du sac de maïs ayant poussé dans le champ, il n’y a aucune différence du tout. L’un donnerait un pain de maïs aussi bon que ce que pourrait donner l’autre, d’aussi bons corn-flakes, n’importe quel produit. Ouvrez-les au laboratoire, mélangez-les. Ouvrez-les au laboratoire. Chacun d’eux a la même quantité d’humidité, de calcium, de tout ce qui se trouve dans chaque grain.
On disait que le seul moyen de les distinguer, c’était de les enterrer. Et celui que la machine a produit ne poussera jamais. Mais celui que Dieu a fait pousser a le germe de vie, et il repoussera. J’ai dit: «Frère Kelly, tenez-moi par la main, parce que je vais vous embarrasser tout de suite.»
En effet, je sais ceci: un homme peut fréquenter une église et imiter le christianisme, se conduire comme un chrétien, payer ses dîmes et ainsi de suite, mener une bonne vie dans la communauté. Mais à moins que cet homme ne naisse de nouveau, il ne ressuscitera jamais à la résurrection; il est perdu. Amen. Dieu a préparé un moyen d’échapper pour ceux qui désirent ardemment recevoir cela.
| E-32 Here sometime ago an old Methodist preacher and I was having a little fellowship around some ice cream. The agriculture hour come on at Louisville on the radio in a little confectionery where we were at. And we were setting on some stools talking about the Lord, very good old brother born again.
And it said the little 4-H club had perfected a--a machine that would turn out grains of corn just as perfect as they did when they was growed in the field. Said take one handful out of the sack that the machine perfected and take a handful out of the sack that was growing in the field, there no difference in them at all. One would make just as good a corn bread as the other one would. Just as good a cornflakes, any ingredient. Cut them open in the laboratory, mix them together. Cut them open in the laboratory. Each one had the same amount of moisture, calcium, everything that goes into it was in every grain.
Said the only way you could tell the difference was bury them. And the one that the machine produced would never come up again. But the one that God growed had germ of life, and it'll raise again. I said, "Brother Kelly, take me by the hand, 'cause I will embarrass you here."
For I know this one thing, man may go to church and impersonate Christianity, act like Christianity, pay his tithes, and so forth, and live a good life in the community. But except that man's born again, he will never raise in the resurrection; he's lost. Amen. How God has made a way of escape for those who long to accept it.

E-33 Maintenant, j’aimerais que vous suiviez attentivement. Job alors dans toute sa détresse est assis là. Des membres de l’église sont venus et lui ont tourné le dos pendant sept jours. Peu après, presque chaque homme qui venait le voir disait: «Job, tu as péché en secret. Tu as fait quelque chose de mal. Tu as péché en secret.»
Job savait qu’il n’avait pas péché, parce qu’il s’était approché sur la base de la Parole de Dieu. Il s’était approché sur la base du sang versé, sachant que Dieu exigeait un sacrifice de sang. Et c’est le sang que Job offrait, sachant que Dieu ne pourrait pas refuser cela. Le tableau tout entier est une parfaite révélation.
| E-33 Now, I want you to notice closely. Job then in all of his distress setting out there. Church members come and turned their back to him for seven days. Little later, about any man that come to him and said, "Job, you're a secret sinner. You've done something wrong. You've sinned secretly."
Job knew he had not sinned, because he come upon the basis of God's Word. He come upon the basis of the shed blood, knowing that God required a blood sacrifice. And blood was what Job offered, knowing that God could not refuse it. The whole picture is a perfect revelation.

E-34 Au jardin d’Eden... Bien des gens aujourd’hui... Eh bien, ceci pourrait faire un petit peu mal. Mais bien des gens aujourd’hui pensent que s’ils fréquentent l’église, adorent le Seigneur, et donnent de l’argent à l’église, cela suffit. Frère, Dieu sera injuste s’Il agrée une telle personne.
Dans le jardin d’Eden, après qu’ils ont été châtiés, chassés, le premier enfant qui naquit était Caïn. Le second était Abel. Si tout ce que Dieu exige d’un pécheur, c’est d’être membre d’une église, faire pénitence, être membre d’une église, Dieu serait injuste de–d’avoir accepté Abel et rejeté Caïn. Chacun d’eux avait une église.
| E-34 In the garden of Eden... Many people today... Now, this may hurt just a little bit. But many people today thinks if they go to church, and worship the Lord, and pay in to the church, that that's good enough. Brother, God will be unjust to receive such a person.
In the garden of Eden after they was stricken, threw out. The first child was born was Cain. The second one was Abel. And when they both realized they were mortal, they tried to find favor with God. Both of them come to the east side of Eden to the gates where the Cherubim was with the sword of fire. And both boys built an altar to the Lord. That's a church.
If only belonging to church is all God requires of a sinner, to do penance, belonging to the church, God would be unjust to--to receive Abel and to reject Cain. Both of them had a church.

E-35 Et puis non seulement cela, mais Caïn est venu et a offert un sacrifice. Si tout ce que Dieu exige c’est le sacrifice, Il aurait été injuste de condamner Caïn. Non seulement cela, mais Caïn n’était pas un infidèle. Caïn était un croyant. Il essayait de trouver la réconciliation. Et Caïn s’est agenouillé humblement, il a levé les mains et a adoré le Seigneur. Il n’était pas un communiste, ni un infidèle. Il était un croyant. Mais il n’avait pas la révélation spirituelle.
Et lorsqu’Abel vint... Je peux imaginer Caïn qui décore l’autel avec des beaux lis, et l’embellir, rendre «tout beau» comme on dit. C’est ainsi que les gens pensent aujourd’hui. S’ils peuvent bâtir une très grande église qui surpassera les autres, avec des sièges en peluche, y installer un orgue de dix mille dollars, et un crucifix couvrant la chose entière, et tout au-dessus, les gens s’imaginent que cela plaira à Dieu. Dieu ne prend pas plaisir aux oeuvres humaines. C’est du sable mouvant.
| E-35 Then not only that, but Cain come and offered a sacrifice. If sacrifice was all that God requires, He'd be unjust to condemn Cain. Not only that, but Cain was not a infidel. Cain was a believer. He was trying to find reconciliation. And Cain knelt down humbly, raised up his hands and worshipped the Lord. He was not a communist; neither was he an infidel. He was a believer. But he didn't have the spiritual revelation.
And when Abel came... I can imagine seeing Cain decorate the altar, fine lilies and making it pretty, all "dolled up" as we call it. That's the way people think today. If they can build a great big church, that'll outshine the rest of them, plush the seats, put a ten thousand dollar pipe organ in it, and a crucifix all around it and all over it, they think that God will be pleased with it. God ain't pleased with the works of the hands of man. They're shifting sands.

Maintenant, remarquez, mais lorsqu’Abel est venu, il n’y avait rien de beau dans son offrande. Il a pris un petit sarment de la vigne, je pense. Parce qu’ils n’avaient pas de chanvre en ce jour-là, à ce que je sache. Alors il s’est fait une corde avec un sarment de vigne, et il l’a enroulée autour du cou du petit agneau, et il s’est mis à le traîner jusqu’à l’autel; il l’a étendu sur la pierre; il a renvoyé sa petite tête en arrière; il a pris une pierre tranchante (je pense qu’ils n’avaient pas de lance), il s’est mis à trancher sa petite gorge.
| E-36 Notice, there Cain decorating his altar, making it look pretty, thought he'd find favor with God. And he knelt down and worshipped God. If that spirit don't live today, why doesn't it? Look at it around the world.
Now, notice, but when Abel came, there was no beauty about his offer. He took a little grapevine, I guess. 'Cause they didn't have any hemp in that day as I know of. So he made a grapevine rope, and put it around the little old lamb's neck, and begin to pull him up to the altar, laid him up on the rock, pulled his little head back, took a sharp rock; I guess they didn't have a lance, begin to chop his little throat.

E-37 Et si quelqu’un a déjà entendu un...?... ou comment ces petits animaux crient pendant qu’ils meurent... Avez-vous déjà entendu une petite brebis, un agneau mourir? C’est le bêlement le plus pathétique que vous ayez jamais entendu. Les mains d’Abel baignaient dans le sang, pendant qu’il tranchait sa gorge. Et le petit animal bêlait, bêlait.
Il ne parlait pas l’anglais, alors il doit avoir parlé en langues. Mais ce que cela représentait s’est accompli quatre mille ans plus tard, lorsque l’Agneau de Dieu était suspendu à la croix avec Sa laine...?... complètement baignée de sang, mourant sans avoir un ami sur terre. Dieu a baissé les yeux sur Abel et a dit: «Voilà la justification.» Et il fut juste aux yeux de Dieu. Pourquoi? Parce que c’était une révélation spirituelle. Il n’avait rien d’autre pour savoir comment y aller, à part la révélation spirituelle.
| E-37 And if anybody ever heard a...?... or how those little fellows cried when they were dying... Did you ever hear a little sheep, a lamb dying? The most pitiful bleat that you ever heard. And his hands of Abel bathed with the blood, as he chopped his throat. And the little fellow bleating, bleating.
He couldn't speak English so he must have been speaking in tongues. But what it spoke of was some four thousand years later, when the Lamb of God hung on the cross in His wool over...?... all bathed over in a blood, dying without a friend on earth. God looked down to Abel, and said, "That's justification." And he was just in the sight of God. Why? Because it was spiritual revelation. He had nothing else to go by, but spiritual revelation.

E-38 Jésus fit la promesse aux disciples lorsqu’ils descendaient de la montagne. Il a dit: «Qui dit-on que Je suis, Moi le Fils de l’homme?»

Il a dit (écoutez): «Tu es heureux Simon fils de Jonas, car ce ne sont pas la chair et le sang qui t’ont révélé cela. Tu n’as pas appris cela dans un séminaire. Tu n’as pas appris cela d’un homme. Ce ne sont pas la chair et le sang qui t’ont révélé ceci, mais c’est Mon Père qui est dans les Cieux qui t’a révélé ceci.»
Or, l’Eglise catholique dit: «C’était sur Pierre, à cause de la confession qu’il avait faite.» L’Eglise protestante dit que c’était sur Christ, le Rocher, qu’Il a bâti Son Eglise. Mais si vous remarquez bien, ce n’était ni sur l’un ni sur l’autre. C’était sur la vérité spirituelle révélée par Dieu à Pierre que Jésus était le Fils de Dieu.
Et la Bible dit: «Nul ne peut appeler Jésus ‘le Christ’, si ce n’est par le Saint-Esprit.» Amen. «Sur ce rocher, a-t-Il dit, Je bâtirai Mon Eglise, et les portes du séjour des morts ne prévaudront point contre elle. Je bâtirai Mon Eglise sur la vérité spirituelle révélée.» Amen. Par la grâce souveraine, Dieu appelle Ses hommes et se révèle [à eux]. Amen.
| E-38 Jesus promised the disciples when they come off the mountain. Said, "Who does man say I, the son of man, am?"
"One of them said You're Moses, and the other one You're Elias. And some said you're Jeremiah."
He said, "Who do you say I am?"
Peter standing right out said, "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God."
He said, listen, "Blessed art thou Simon Barjona, for flesh and blood hath not revealed this to you. You're never learned it in a seminary. You never learned it by any man. Flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father which is in heaven has revealed this to you."
Now, the Catholic church said, "It was upon Peter the confession was made." The Protestant church said it was Christ, the Rock, that He'd built His church. But if you'll notice closely it was neither one. It was a spiritual revealed truth of God to Peter that Jesus was the son of God.
And the Bible said, "No man can call Jesus, "the Christ," only by the Holy Ghost." Amen. "Upon this rock, He said, I will build my Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I will build My church upon the spiritual revealed truth." Amen. By sovereign grace God calls His men and reveals Himself. Amen.

Pas seulement Macon, mais chaque ville des Etats-Unis et du monde entier a besoin d’une révélation spirituelle de la puissance de résurrection du Seigneur Jésus-Christ. Cela amènera ce pays à bannir l’alcool à tel point qu’il faudra faire boire les contrebandiers, il faudra les faire pendant trente minutes pour qu’ils aient suffisamment de salive pour cracher.

Après, Job, étant un prophète et sachant que son âme était pure devant Dieu... Peu importe combien les gens l’accusaient; il savait qu’il était innocent. Et Job a offert le sacrifice, il a offert un holocauste. C’était le seul moyen qu’il avait pour communier avec Dieu. Mais, à ce qu’il paraissait, Dieu avait tourné le dos à Job. Mais ce dernier savait qu’il n’avait pas péché, et il a tenu bon de toute façon.

Job, after being a prophet, knowing that his soul was clear before God... No matter how much they accused him; he knew he was innocent. And Job offered the sacrifice, the burnt offering. The only way he had of fellowship with God. But seemingly, God had turned His back on Job. But he knew he hadn't sinned and his stayed anyhow.

Vous y êtes. Voilà comment s’y prendre. Peu importe ce que disaient mademoiselle Dupont et mademoiselle Job, l’une ou l’autre, cela ne l’a pas dérangé. Il savait qu’il était–qu’il était dans la ligne de la réconciliation. Il avait offert le sacrifice auquel Dieu avait pourvu: l’agneau.

Job knew the sacrifice was laid out there. He offered it through the shed blood, God's only way of reconciliation for sinners. He offered it to God, and he knew that he was just in doing so. No matter which way the waves turned, Job stood pat.
There you are. That's the way you do it. No matter what Miss Jones said, and Miss Job either one. Didn't bother him. He knew he was--he was in the line of reconciliation. He offered God's provided sacrifice, the lamb.

And he said, "Now, those flowers never sinned, neither did the tree sin. But man sinned and he separated himself; that's the reason he don't come up in the springtime." But he said, "Job, listen, there is coming One, a just One, Who can stand in the breach between a sinful man and a holy God, and place His hand on each one and make reconciliation."

Job said, "I know my Redeemer liveth. And at the last days He will stand on the earth. Though the skin worms destroys this body. Yet in my flesh shall I see God, Whom I shall see for myself, mine eyes shall behold, and not another."

E-44 Nous n’avons rien apporté dans ce monde, et il est certain que nous n’emporterons rien. Qu’a-t-il vu? Il a vu que l’agneau qu’il avait immolé représentait la Venue du Juste. Et si Job pouvait avoir ce genre de foi en ce jour-là, avec l’ombre de la Venue du Fils de Dieu, que devrions-nous faire nous qui entrons dans Sa Présence par la réconciliation de Sa propre mort et de Son propre Sang? Là, il avait une parfaite communion, et Dieu lui a restauré le double de tout ce qu’il avait perdu. Le seul lieu qu’avait Israël, le seul lieu où Dieu avait promis de rencontrer le pécheur, c’est sous le Sang, pas sous l’église, là, pas sous la dénomination. Elles sont toutes bonnes, mais c’est sous le Sang.
Ce que j’essaie de penser ici, mes amis, ce que j’essaie de vous faire comprendre, c’est ceci: je ne dis pas qu’il n’est pas nécessaire que vous adhériez à une église; faites-le. Mais le simple fait d’être membre d’une église ne suffit pas. Vous devez avoir en vous l’Esprit de Vie qui est profondément consacré, que Dieu donne. Vous ne pouvez simplement pas le faire sur la base de la communion avec les gens. Vous devez avoir une communion avec Christ. Vous devez naître de nouveau. Vous devez venir sous le Sang.

And if Job could have that kind of faith in that day upon the shadow of the Son of God. What ought we to do who come into His Presence through the reconciliation of His own death and blood? Amen.
There, he had perfect fellowship and God restored him back twofold all he ever lost. The only place that Israel had, the only place that God ever promised to meet sinners is under the Blood, not under the church, now, not under the denomination. They're all good, but under the blood.
What I'm trying to think here, friends, what I'm trying to get to you is this: Not to say you don't need to belong to a church; you do. But just belonging to the church is not enough. It's got to be a deep consecrated God given Spirit of Life in you. You just can't do it on basic fellowship with the people. You've got to have fellowship with Christ. You've got to be borned again. You've got to come under the Blood.

Then, you've got Everlasting Life and can't come into condemnation, because you've passed from death unto Life.

| E-46 Notice, Israel where ever they was, they had only one place of fellowship. That was under the blood. When a man come to be reconciled to God. The first he had to come into the tabernacle. That was a place where the bodies of the beast was slain. That's where the blood was on the altar and the only meeting place that Jehovah promised to meet the people, under the shed blood: the only place He ever did meet people, and the only place He ever will meet people.
Someone said thousands of times, "Brother Branham, what does it mean when you feel your own life move away from you and something sets in, takes its place?" Why it's a fellowship. It's marvelous. You know that you're not yourself any more. You've got yourself completely surrendered to God. And it's not you talking. It's Him talking. It's not you could do anything, but you're so happy to know that He is a doing it. And it's such a love about it, till you just can't contain your joy hardly. To know that God is doing something for the people.

E-47 Comment pouvez-vous communier avec Dieu lorsque vous n’arrivez pas à communier les uns avec les autres? Lorsque les églises ont des différends, qu’elles font des histoires, qu’elles se querellent, qu’elles se disputent tout simplement entre elles, comment pouvons-nous nous attendre à aimer Dieu quand nous ne pouvons pas nous aimer les uns les autres? Lorsque l’agneau... Le sang était aspergé, et l’homme repartait étant réconcilié à travers l’aspersion du sang. Mais chaque fois qu’il péchait, il devait revenir offrir un autre agneau. Et on offrait une offrande pour le péché une fois par année. Celui qui transgressait cela mourait sans miséricorde.
| E-47 And how can you have fellowship with God when you can't have fellowship with one another? When churches are different, when fussing, and quarreling, and arguing just with churches, how can we expect to love God when we can't love each other? I think it's a time that the all the barriers should be broke down, and we should all be one together, one great unit.
Notice, when Israel come in to the shed blood. The animal was taken up to the altar was washed at the laver. The sinner placed his hands upon the lamb, his throat was cut. Where the lamb... The blood was sprinkled, and the man went out reconciled through the shedding of the blood. But every time he sinned, he had to come offer a new lamb. And there was a sin offering once a year. He that trespassed that died without mercy.

La raison pour laquelle, après avoir offert le sang de l’agneau, l’homme repartait... Peut-être qu’il repartait et commettait un meurtre. Il repartait avec le même esprit meurtrier dans son coeur, même s’il avait été réconcilié du fait qu’il avait offert le sang.
Mais il repartait avec ce même esprit dans son coeur. Peut-être qu’il avait commis adultère; il repartait avec ce même esprit dans son coeur, parce que le sang de cet animal... La vie se trouvait dans le sang. Pourtant la vie animale essayait de garantir une vie humaine, mais cela ne pouvait jamais se faire.
| E-48 Now, if he'd have--sin had been committed twice in a year, no matter if he was a mayor of the city, if he was a king, whoever he was, he was stoned without mercy.
Now, in the case of Christ, the Lamb. If we once put our hands upon His head and confess our sins as wrong, and He accept us, what a sorer punishment it would be to do despite to the works of grace, and to count the covenant of the Blood wherewith we was sanctified an unholy thing.
But in that day, he went back with the same kind of a feeling he had when he come in. Now, this may pinch just a little bit to some of the brethren. Listen. The reason the man went out after offering the lamb's blood... Maybe he went out and murdered. He went out with the same murdering spirit in his heart, though he was reconciled for he was offered the blood.
But he went out with the same spirit in his heart. Maybe he committed adultery; he went out with the same spirit in his heart, because the blood of this animal... The life was in the blood. But the animal life trying to answer for a human life, it would never do it.

E-49 Mais lorsqu’un homme vient une fois correctement poser ses mains par la foi sur la tête du Seigneur Jésus-Christ, et qu’il confesse ses péchés, alors le Sang de Jésus-Christ... La Vie qui était là-dedans, c’était Dieu Lui-même. C’est la raison pour laquelle Hébreux 10 dit: «Car celui qui rend le culte, une fois purifié, n’a plus aucune conscience de ses péchés.» Alors vous avez la communion. Les choses du monde sont mortes. Vous ne les reconnaissez plus. Vous vous reconnaissez comme mort, et votre vie est cachée en Dieu par Christ, scellée par le Saint-Esprit. Et alors vous regardez aux choses célestes.
Autrefois, vous pouviez à peine rester dix minutes dans l’église. Mais après que vous avez réellement reçu le Saint-Esprit, vous pouvez rester dans l’église jour et nuit, parce qu’il y a en vous quelque chose qui est en train de se nourrir. Le problème aujourd’hui, c’est que les gens ont des esprits mondains, et ils fréquentent l’église.
| E-49 But when a man correctly one time comes in and lays his hands upon the head, by faith of the Lord Jesus Christ, and confesses his sins, then the Blood of Jesus Christ... The Life that was in that was God Himself. And that man, the life that returns to that man after he has confessed his sins and accepted Christ, he's brought into a relationship with Christ by the baptism of the Holy Ghost, and there's no more desire in his heart to sin. Amen.
That's the reason Hebrews 10 said, "For the worshipper once purged has no more conscience of sin."There you have fellowship. The things of the world is dead. You don't recognize it no more. You reckon yourself dead, and your life is hid in God through Christ, sealed by the Holy Spirit. And then you're looking to the heavenly things.
Used to be, you couldn't hardly set in church ten minutes. But when you really got the Holy Spirit, you can set in church day and night, for there's something in you feeding. The trouble today people has worldly spirits. They go to church.

E-50 Il n’y a pas longtemps, je travaillais pour une société des services publics. Et je suis allé signifier à une dame qu’elle n’avait pas payé sa facture de courant, et qu’on allait venir couper la fourniture, si elle ne la payait pas. Et je suis allé à la porte, et j’ai frappé à la porte, et une petite fille est venue à la porte, c’était une jeune fille d’environ dix-huit ou vingt ans, ayant sur elle juste assez de vêtements pour bourrer le canon d’un mousquet. Et elle est venue à la porte, et elle a dit: «Oh! vous êtes de la compagnie d’électricité.» Elle a dit: «Il y a quelques jours ma mère m’avait dit d’aller payer la facture.»
Et j’ai dit: «Bien, madame.»
Et elle a dit: «Eh bien, attendez, je vais vous prendre l’argent.»
J’ai dit: «Merci.»
Elle a dit: «Pouvez-vous amener ça à ma place?»
J’ai dit: «Oui, madame.»
Elle s’est mise à marcher dans la pièce, et il y avait un genre de musique folle et mondaine d’un certain violoniste, qui jouait. Vous savez, il joue cela et produit ce genre de musique, une sorte de vieille petite chanson mondaine. Et elle allait... a commencé à jouer cela très vite, comme le diable le fait. Et quand elle s’est mise à marcher dans la pièce, cette fille a même oublié que j’étais dans le... là.
Elle a commencé à danser dans la pièce en criant: «Toodley, toodley, toodley.» Et là dans la pièce, elle faisait plutôt du tapage, dansant le jitterbug, et faisant tout un tas de boucan. Et c’étaient toutes ces choses impies qu’on n’ait jamais entendues. Et elle était là dans la pièce, en train d’exécuter cela. Et tout d’un coup elle s’est retournée.
Je me tenais là, je me suis dit: «Eh bien, la pauvre enfant!» Je me suis dit: «Oh! la la! elle s’est vraiment livrée complètement.» Alors je la regardais. Je me suis dit: «Eh bien, ce n’est qu’une enfant. C’est une honte.» Alors après un moment elle a regardé... [Espace vide sur la bande–N.D.E.]

And I went down to tell the lady that she hadn't paid her light bill, and they was going to come turn the services off, if she didn't pay it. And I went down to the door, and knocked on the door, and there was a little girl come to the door, a little woman about eighteen twenty years old, about enough clothes on to wad a musket. And she come to the door, and she said, "Oh, you're from the light company." Said, "Mother told me to take the bill in a few days ago."
And I said, "Yes, ma'am."
And she said, "Well wait, I will get the money for you."
I said, "Thank you."
She said, "Can you take it for me?"
I said, "Yes, ma'am."
She started across the floor, and there was some kind of an old worldly crazy music come on of some old fiddler. You know sawing, that in that kind of a music out, of some kind a little old song that's worldly. And she was going... started playing it real fast like the devil does. And so she started across the floor, and that girl forgot I was even in the... around the place.
She started across the floor dancing around hollering, "Toodley, toodley, toodley." All around the floor, some kind of a slugs, and jitterbugs, and all other kind of rumble mumbles. And all ungodly things you ever heard of. And there she was u--upon the floor doing that. And directly she looked around.
I stood I thought, "Well, that poor kid." I thought, "My, she is really fully sold out." So I looked at her. I thought, "Well, she's nothing but a kid. That's a shame." So after while she looked... [Blank.spot.on.tape--Ed.]
"I didn't. I forgot about you being at the door." She got the money, come to the door. She said, "I just love to dance so well."
I said, "Yes, ma'am. I see that."
So she got down when this man said they was going to have some kind of an old--kind of a dance out at some kind of a green briar patch or something. She got down throwed him a kiss through the radio. She said, "Good-bye deary." Said, "I will be right there to see you."
I thought, "You're sure will too. There's no one at all to keep you away from it." No, sir.

You may be tossed about to and fro, joining churches, running trying to seek this, that, and the other. Every time a little something new happens here, you go to a new light, a new something.
Why don't you just come to Christ and settle the whole thing? Once borned again, that settles it forever. Once borned of the Spirit of God, you have Everlasting Life and cannot come into condemnation, but passed from death to Life. Then you can enjoy yourself. Then it's a pleasure to pray. You don't have to wonder about whether God's going. When you kneel to pray, you're right in His Presence. When you're walking on the streets, you're right in His Presence. Wherever you are, you're in His Presence all the time, for you have perfect fellowship with the Son of God.

Vous êtes d’un seul côté de la clôture. Si vous êtes né de nouveau, vous êtes sauvé. Si vous n’êtes pas né de nouveau, vous êtes en dehors de Christ, sans espérance, sans Dieu dans ce monde. Dieu a pris des dispositions pour que vous soyez sauvé.

Did you ever see a black white bird at the same time? Did you ever see a drunk sober man? You never did see a sinner saint. You're either a sinner or a saint. You're on one side of the fence. If you're borned again, you're saved. If you're not borned again, you're outside of Christ, without hope, without God in the world. God's made preparations for you to be saved.

Now, I'm nothing but an old fashion sassafras preacher. I believe in an old time back woods, sky blue, sin killing religion that washes you up and makes you white. Brother, that's the only thing saved me. It'll do you good, if you'll just receive it. That's through coming through the Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, the only way there is, the only preparation.

Les choses du monde sont mortes. Oh! vous direz: «Cela ne me condamne pas.» Eh bien, mon–mon frère, quelqu’un–certaines personnes n’ont même pas de conscience. Ils servent tout simplement à...

Cette belle chevelure blonde qui pendait dans son dos va grisonner. Cette chevelure noire très épaisse d’Adam va grisonner un de ces jours. Ses gros muscles vont fondre et aller dans la poussière, et les vers grouilleront dedans. Forcément.
La maladie et le chagrin sont sur son chemin. Et le voilà qui s’en va là, alors sans espérance, chassé de la Présence de Dieu. Je peux le voir alors qu’il a son bras autour des épaules de sa chérie, les larmes qui coulent sur ses joues tombent sur la tête de celle-ci et descendent sur son corps, les larmes se mélangent au sang de ces peaux sanglantes de brebis. Et alors, il commence à sortir du jardin d’Eden, condamné.

I can see him with his arm around his sweetheart, the tears running down his cheeks dripping off on her head and it running down over her body, the tears and blood mixed together from them old bloody sheepskins. And there they start out through the garden of Eden, condemned.
